
Ecofin employs over 50 people in London, New York, Hong Kong and Geneva, over half of whom are investment professionals. Ecofin’s three executive partners are Bernard Lambilliotte, John Murray and Vincent Barnouin.
Bernard Lambilliotte is senior managing director and co-founder of Ecofin. At Ecofin, he serves as the firm's chief investment officer and has overall responsibility for Ecofin's research and investment management activities, as well as day to day supervision of the firm's activities.
Prior to co-founding Ecofin in 1992, Bernard Lambilliotte was an investment manager with Pictet & Cie in Geneva and London where he was responsible for the development of sector funds. From 1985 to 1990, he was an investment banker with Swiss Bank Corporation in London and Paris. Prior to 1985, he was with Drexel Burnham Lambert in London and Hamon et Cie S.A., an international power engineering firm based in Brussels. He was graduated from the Université Libre de Bruxelles with a degree in engineering and from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, with an M.B.A. degree. He is a Belgian citizen.
John Murray is Chairman and co-founder of Ecofin. At Ecofin, he has overall responsibility for execution as well as for legal matters, compliance and corporate governance.
Prior to co-founding Ecofin in 1992, he was head of the corporate finance department of Swiss Bank Corporation Investment Banking Limited in London and a member of the Management Committee of SBC’s London-based investment banking business. Before joining SBC in 1987, he was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley Group, Inc. and held corporate finance positions in the firm’s New York, London, Sydney and Melbourne offices from 1975 to 1986. He was graduated from Williams College in the United States with an honours degree in economics and from Harvard Business School with an M.B.A. He is a non-executive director of each of Ecofin’s funds and of BlackRock Frontiers Investment Trust plc. He is a U.S. citizen.
Vincent Barnouin is responsible for marketing and business development at Ecofin and also supervises all of Ecofin's operation aspects.
Prior to joining Ecofin in 2004, Vincent Barnouin was head of the European Private Banking Services division of the Russell Investment Group (formerly the Frank Russell Company) based in London. Prior to joining Russell, he was with Salomon Smith Barney, where he was deputy head of the firm’s equity business in Europe. Prior to joining Salomon Smith Barney, he was with Goldman Sachs in London for nine years where his last position was as head of European equity sales in Europe. Vincent Barnouin was graduated from HEC-ISA (France) with an M.B.A. degree and from Paris Pantheon-Sorbonne University with a Master of Law degree. He is a French citizen.
